Beauty and the Beast is a 1991 American animated film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. The movie is based on the fairy tale, "La Belle et la Bête".
Plot
An enchantress disguised as an old beggar woman offers the prince a rose in exchange for a night's shelter. He coldly turns away from her, she punishes him by transforming him into a beast and turning his servants into household items. The enchantress gives him a magic mirror that makes him view faraway events, with a rose which will bloom on his 21st birthday.
